Tips for the London Crowd...

In preparation for an upcoming conference on Search, an editor at SearchEngineWatch pulled together an amazing collection of resources on how to get around the wonderfully gray city of London.

Highlights include:
  • journey planner suggests various alternatives for getting to and from one location to another. This can be a Station or stop, post code, address or place of interest.
  • Tube Guru is a cool Flash application that helps you get around on the Underground and find things once you've arrived at your chosen station.
  • Tube Maps Here you'll find standard maps, accessible maps, large print maps, and versions of tube maps in a dozen non-English languages (including Arabic, for Jordanians born in Orange County).
On a related note, I showed many of you the GoogleMaps + Craigslist apartment listings site a while back...someone has taken that concept and spliced together UK Google Maps data with feeds from Central London Traffic Cameras. This is what they call Web 2.0! Check this out!

Here's another tip. If you're looking for a hidden, swanky Asian meal, check out Hakkasan . It's not cheap, but the food is tasty and the atmosphere hip.

OK, that's about all I have to offer.
